This is just the latest in a series of emails back and forth between my area MPP Christina Mitas's office and myself. Guilty parties names have been removed.
"First of all, I can understand if you don't interfere in their decision making process. But when they are basing decisions on a misinterpretation of the facts that are so clearly laid out for them in writing, they stand corrected. If it's not your offices job to correct them, then who's is it? Second, to indicate [my worker] is a director of anything but his own downfall is an extraordinary misrepresentation of the facts. This is the link to the Ministry of Child, Community and Social Services Executive Leadership Team https://www.mcss.gov.on.ca/en/mcss/about/mcss_org_chart/org_chart.aspx I don't see [his] name anywhere on it. Did you miss the part of my initial email where I stated that I have had articles published on Toronto dot com (one of which was also published in the Scarborough Mirror) this year? You may want to check those out. They have a certain edge to them that could be detrimental to anyone wishing to have a second term in office. I will be forwarding this conversation to the Honourable Todd Smith... thee actual Minister of Child, Community and Social Services. (I have already submitted our previous email stream.) If contacting [my worker] in the past has lead to this point then how helpful do you think you have been suggesting I contact him again? Seems to me like any systemic issues at ODSP may be spilling over into your office. How unfortunate." All this based on a written request, dated July 8th, 2019, for Employment Start Up Benefit which I am entitled to once a year and the monthly Work Related Benefit. (Also included was a request to reinstate the City of Toronto's Fair Pass Discount on my Presto Card.) Honestly, there is more evidence on this website that I have been working than there is of my caseworker if he has to punch a time card every time he actually shows up at the area ODSP office. #JustSayin
