Gold For SonReal & Tour For His Fans

(Toronto, ON) – The innovative and genre-bending hip-hop artist, SonReal, has gone gold with his infectious hit “Can I Get A Witness”, the first single from his newest outing The Name EP, which was released earlier this month via Black Box Recordings/Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company.
“Can I Get A Witness” is a chart-climbing success, finding a home in radio’s top 20,  and already garnering over 3.8 million streams on Spotify.  The epic video for the track (watch HERE), features cameos of popular characters from previous SonReal videos and was directed by Peter Huang, and produced by Jordan Barber – both of whom are long term friends and collaborators of SonReal.  To date the video has over 1.4 million views. Produced by Redone and Rush, “Can I Get A Witness” has proven to be one of Son’s most prolific songs to date.  Now, he’s taking the tunes on the road for a headlining tour across Canada with direct support stops in the United States as well.
A multiple JUNO Award nominee, MMVA nominee, and MMVA winner (SonReal took home an award for MUCHFACT video of the year for his viral hit “Everywhere We Go” in 2014) Son just finished a sold-out North American tour with Jon Bellion and is currently working on the video for his next single “Hot Air Balloon.”
