TORONTO, ON– Anthem / ole label group singer-songwriter and founding member of Award-winning band, The Road Hammers, Clayton Bellamy, is hitting the reset button with his new venture, Clayton Bellamy & The Congregation. Their sound can only be described as a high-octane blend of gospel, R&B and riff-driven hard rock. Channelling influences from vintage R&B and 90’s alt rock, the first single, 'Commandment #11 (Love Someone)”, will be released on November 2 via all streaming and digital download services.
There is a reason that Clayton Bellamy is defined as an "Anthem Recording Artist". The tightness of his compositions set to a marching beat with those compelling lyrics get me every time, Clayton Bellamy may be hitting the reset button but with lyrics like the following - "The only way to stop the madness ... you've got to love someone" - it would seem to me that he wouldn't want to stray too far. He has a pretty keen idea as to what needs to happen if we are ever want to find a sense of equilibrium again in this world where words and bullets forged in hate appear to be sanctioned by the highest political powers.
Theoretically, Clayton Bellamy's Commandment #11 (Love Someone) should be added to (and given primacy over) the other original Ten Commandments.
