November 29, 2018 - David Gray releases the video for his new single ‘The Sapling’, the lead-off track from forthcoming new album Gold In A Brass Age, due for release on March 8, 2019 via IHT Records / AWAL Recordings. Gray personally sought out Baltimore-based zoetrope artist Eric Dyer to create the kaleidoscopic clip which now accompanies ‘The Sapling’. The video alludes to the track's rumination on the cyclical brevity of life and ecology with projected time lapse footage of germinating acorns, scaled-up to hypnotic effect. David Gray's Gold In A Brass Age was produced by Ben de Vries, son of producer and soundtrack composer Marius de Vries, His first album of new material in four years - arrives just ahead of a run of headline shows, commencing at Cardiff’s St David’s Hall on Friday, 15th March and including London’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday, 17th March before culminating with two nights at Dublin’s Bord Gais Theatre on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th April. Two Canadian shows will happen this coming June in Toronto and Vancouver.

… when you really didn't have to. Bree I would strongly urge you to release some acoustic versions of your music so people can appreciate some of that vocal training you have had. Bree Taylor has been trained by the A-List vocal coach Bob Garrett who has worked with legends Pavarotti, Audrey Hepburn, and Donna Summer. If I was him I would be palm to forehead right now. What were you thinking cluttering up such vocal talent with all that unnecessary instrumentation? Honestly, Bree I love your lyrics, I love you vocals. I just have a serious case of OCD and can't stand clutter. Not even in music. I have never been to the Gourmet Food & Wine Expo before last night. The first thing I did when I found out they were returning for their 24th year was Google them. Do you know I couldn't find any food pics? SMH I believe I have rectified that situation.
Needless to say, this is one place that I would have definitely utilized an All You Can Eat pass. . In case you didn't already know it's not just a food and "wine" show. There were plenty of other alcohols flowing last night. When you glance at the Exhibitors map you can see that they have the very necessary Fine Wine Lounge. Then as you wander around you encounter the Craft Beer Area, the Craft Distillery District, and the Spiritology Pavilion. In other words, if wine is not your thing they still have a liquid refreshment that will meet your personalized taste. I ever found bottled water for me. :) So if your looking for a place to wind down after that crazy Black Friday gift shopping you will want to head over to the Gourmet Food & Wine Expo. You deserve to treat yourself. Cheers! … the following video should just about do it ,,, Every single time I've played it I end up in tears. Apparently, misery does love company because I have been recommending this video to everyone.
I knew when I woke up this morning that I was going to be binging on something. I thought I was going to be binge watching movies at Imagine Cinemas. Those closest to me know that on Tuesdays I am as likely to be hanging out at the theater with my unlimited large pop corn for two, three, or maybe even four movies.
Then again I have been really itching to put my Huawei P20 Pro through its paces. I swear I am addicted to shooting with my latest tech toy. The fact that it is a phone is secondary. As it turns out I ended up binging on chocolate thanks to a last minute invitation from Cakes Cove who put out a call for photographers. I can only hope that they feel my photos did their Holiday Eat Everything Room event justice. I have never been a fan of gingerbread. But, Cakes Cove has a uniquely delicious gingerbread chocolate truffle sprinkled with icing sugar that is simply delectable. I had more than one … more than two … Yeah, you get the idea. Otherwise, it certainly didn't hurt that the craftsperson/owner/designer at Cakes Cove is fan-cinated with Star Wars. I was thrilled with the Darth Vader and Chewbacca gingerbread decorations, the Star Wars Christmas wreath, and who can resist the Porgs. Honestly, for me, it doesn't get any better than being allowed to play with my Huawei P20 Pro while I pig out on chocolate. Thanks Cakes Cove!!! On September 29th $2.2 million was raised by 4,000+ participants, sponsors and volunteers at the first-ever SickKids GetLoud, a fundraising march and festival in support of The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). Participants formed a SickKids army and walked together in a 5-kilometre march, capped with a festival celebration including Th Mini Pop Kids, Said the Whale, MAGIC! and headlined by 2018 Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductees, Barenaked Ladies.
GetLoud is just one reason that the Hospital for Sick Children is a miracle worker when it comes to acquiring financial support. Thanks to the generosity of the community, and as a result of a record-breaking year in fundraising, SickKids Foundation generated an unprecedented $146.3 million for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2018.
