On Sunday, September 4th Tdot Fest took over Yonge & Dundas Square for its second year. This event is quickly becoming an audience favourite. Here we can spot some serious talent like Lola (who has this whole Mariah Carey thing going on) and Natalie Mejia formerly of Girlicious fame. (She is definitely girl crush material as evidenced by one female fan who brought flowers which Natalie accepted gracefully).
The guys weren't too shabby either. Goliath PAW has a tail. (lol) Blacka Da Don was on target with his performance including a message to "Stop The Gun Violence". Karl Wolf was phenomenal as always. Believe it. or not. as great of a performer as Karl Wolf is, his stage was stolen by a brave young lady. She has battled cancer seven times. Loves to dance. She openly admits that she loves to be the center of attention. She is also exceptionally generous. Upon being handed a Karl Wolf hat to be tossed out to the audience she indicated she needed a microphone. She said she felt sorry for the people at the back of the crowd. (You know the ones closer to the street than the stage.) She said what she would like everyone to do was pass the hat back until they felt they really needed it. That hat kept going until Karl Wolf asked whoever had it at that moment to hold it up. That person is now the owner of a hat that otherwise never would have left the front row of the crowd at Yonge & Dundas Square. Maybe next year Tdot Fest could align itself with a charity upon consultation with and in recognition of this young lady. (Picture below)
