I don't'put up a Christmas tree for the holidays. I'm not much for the commercialization of the annual event. I'm also not much into the religious undertones. As far as I am concerned everyone should remember that the season is about giving (about being grateful for what you already have) and not about receiving. Lists should be made for what people will give to, or do for, others. Not for what some morbidly obese guy in a red suit is going to leave under your tree. (You should really rethink that glass of milk and plate of cookies. Just sayin'.)
On the other hand, I love the winter! So this collection is a result of being questioned about my lack of holiday spirit. To me the season is WINTER. Not Christmas. I don't agree with the commercialization or the limited perspective promoted by religion. I do believe there are some stark realities that are often overlooked. Giving should be done more than once a year. Gratitude should be expressed every single day.
